During a Weekend of Miracles, held on Saturday and Sunday, families in need are receiving various gifts, such as food, toiletries and household goods.

Launched in 2001, the Noble Parcel charity has over the years become one of the largest such campaigns in the country. It runs all year long, but it peaks in the run-up to the Christmas season.

The Noble Parcel campaign is every year joined by outstanding figures from the worlds of politics, culture, arts and sports.

That includes Polish tennis star Iga Świątek, who, on Twitter, posted a message encouraging people to join the cause.

According to the Noble Package report, in 2021, some 1.6 million Poles, including 333,000 children and 246,000 seniors, lived in extreme poverty, which means that they had no more than PLN 692 (EUR 147, USD 155) per person a month to survive.
