The three girls, Elizabeth May, Evangeline Rose and Arianna Daisy, and two boys, Charles Patrick and Henry James, were born prematurely in the 28th week of pregnancy to a Polish mother and a British father.

The mother had required hospital care for the last 10 weeks of her pregnancy. She underwent a caesarean section.

The smallest of the babies weighs 710 grams; the largest weighs twice as much. Each is about 40 cm tall.

The newborns are being awaited at home by their father and seven siblings.

Statistics show that quintuplets are born once in every 52 million pregnancies.

In Poland, the previous birth of quintuplets occurred in the city of Poznań in January 2021.
