In a sign that perhaps spring is finally here, bears have been observed awakening from their winter sleep in the Polish Tatras.
Staff from the Tatra National Park have observed an increasing number of bears, especially males and females with more mature young.
Tomasz Skrzydłowski from the Tatra National Park has told the Polish Press Agency (PAP) that bear footprints have been observed in growing numbers in various parts of the Polish Tatras.
