Antoni Dudek is a professor of political history at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw, in the Political Science department.
He has been a popular guest on programs devoted to contemporary politics and history for several years and has acquired a rare reputation in Polish public affairs - of being both a perspicacious and balanced commentator:
"Dudek has an exceptionally good reputation. He is open and cheerful, even suspiciously kind - I have never seen him get irritated or lose his temper in public. It's nice to chat with him; he speaks clearly, transparently. He hails from the right in a broad sense, but liberals love him because he comes across as a thoughtful intellectual. He fulfils an obvious and urgent need in Poland today - to take the temperature down a little and go beyond the heated PiS/anti-PiS debate." (Review of Dudek's "Those two who divided Poland" - a book about the Kaczyński twins - in Gazeta Prawna.)
Dudek has published short films in his YouTube channel Dudek on History where he analyses recent political history. He has been a regular guest, an expert commentator on political history for several programs, especially for Super Express. Now he has taken the natural step of starting a program and podcast explicitly addressing contemporary politics, a playlist in Super Express' YouTube Channel.
Super Express has itself undergone a transformation. It began life in 1991 as a tabloid in the print media, however its online reporting has adopted long-format reporting and discussions moving the outlet closer to traditional "broadsheets" - and a natural home for intellectuals like Dudek.
