Quadruplets born in Poland’s Poznań

A set of quadruplets was born on Wednesday in the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic in Poznań, western Poland.

The four girls  – Laura, Hanna, Sofia and Lilianna – were born in the 32nd week of pregnancy by a caesarean operation. The smallest of them weighs 1590 grams; the largest – 1875 grams. Their condition is described as stable but they have to remain in intensive care.

The parents, who are the residents of Kostrzyn commune near Poznań, already have a son.

Statistics show that quadruplets are born once in every 700,000 pregnancies.
