Poland takes steps to combat child abuse: audio report

The Polish government has set up a team of experts to coordinate efforts to combat child abuse, under a new law adopted last year to help tackle domestic violence.

The new law, called Kamilek's Act, was passed after an 8-year-old child was killed by his stepfather in the southern Polish city of Częstochowa in May 2023.

It stipulates a set of child protection standards, including a government task force to coordinate the policy.
