Today, about 3 million elementary school students and approximately 1.8 million secondary school students across Poland will receive their school certificates.

This includes nearly 410,000 first-grade students who will be receiving their first-ever certificates. Classes will resume on Monday, September 2, marking the beginning of the 2024/2025 school year.

Poland’s Ministry of Education is closely monitoring camps and holiday activities to ensure the safety of children and young people. Parents can verify the safety of their child's holiday trips by visiting the website wypoczynek.men.gov.pl, which contains a database of all registered holiday camps.

"These camps are under the supervision of appropriate superintendents and are monitored and controlled by us. If your child's holiday is not listed in this database, ask the organizer why it was not reported to the Ministry," Education Minister Barbara Nowacka explained during a press conference.

Currently, more than 300,000 young people are registered for vacations. Additionally, many children will participate in day camps, summer schools, and various other recreational activities. "Cities and towns are preparing special cultural and recreational offers for children who will not go on vacation, ensuring they have plenty of opportunities to enjoy their summer," Nowacka added.
