The incident occurred overnight on Germany's A24 highway near the village of Blievenstorf in the northern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern region, the German daily Tagesspiegel reported.
On Friday morning, a German police spokesperson said that six people had been taken to a hospital in the town of Schwerin, while 10 others were treated on the spot.
Most injuries were caused by shattered windows, which were completely destroyed on the left side of the vehicle, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
