The survey posed the question: "The Sejm [upper house of the Polish parliament] is working on a bill to abolish prison sentences for conducting or assisting in abortion. In your opinion, should such a law be passed?"
The results showed that the largest group, 34%, was "strongly in favor" of decriminalizing abortion, while 18.8% answered "somewhat in favor." Combined, this means 52.8% of respondents support the abolition of prison sentences for conducting or assisting in abortions.
Conversely, 24% of respondents were "strongly against" the measure, and 11.8% chose "somewhat against." In total, 35.8% of those surveyed opposed the decriminalization of abortion.
Additionally, 11.5% of respondents selected the "don't know/hard to say" option.
