Shooting near Warsaw sparks anti-terrorist operation

"We are connecting the discovery of the body in Nadarzyn with a shooting that occurred just minutes earlier in Wólka Kosowska," Piotr Skiba, spokesperson for the Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office, told Radio Poland.

Skiba noted that at this stage of the investigation, no further details can be disclosed, and an official statement on the matter is expected to be released tomorrow (Wednesday, August 14).

Earlier, Officer Kamil Sobótka from the Warsaw Police Headquarters informed Polish Radio that authorities are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting of the man whose body was found on Monday afternoon in Nadarzyn, near Warsaw in central Poland.

Fatal shooting in Wólka Kosowska leads to emergency response

The incident was reported around 3:20 PM on Monday, August 12. According to the Polish state news agency PAP, the shooting initially occurred at a bar in the Wólka Kosowska Shopping Center, located about 8 kilometers south of Nadarzyn. Anti-terrorist units were dispatched to the scene.

PAP reports that bystanders rushed the injured man into a car to take him to a hospital in Nadarzyn. However, his condition deteriorated during the journey, prompting them to call an ambulance. Despite efforts to revive him, the man did not survive.
