His death was announced by his family and the team at the Lew-Starowicz Therapy Center. He was a specialist in clinical sexology and served as a long-time national consultant in the field.

He lectured at universities and conducted courses for doctors in sexology and psychiatry.

Lew-Starowicz authored hundreds of scientific publications and thousands of popular science articles. He was also a dedicated advocate for sexual education, serving as an expert for the United Nations.

A post on the Lew-Starowicz Therapy Center's Facebook page highlighted that he was more than just an expert in his field. He was also a mentor and educator to countless generations, and his research greatly influenced the advancement of sexology in Poland.

His work had a significant impact on the development of sexology in Poland. He was honored with the Knight's Cross, Officer's Cross, and the Order of Polonia Restituta.

"Alongside Michalina Wisłocka, he was the most well-known sexologist in Poland," wrote renowned Polish journalist Małgorzata Domagalik on social media.
