These collective efforts reflect a growing movement across Poland to support those in need during this natural disaster.
Volunteers and donors are being encouraged to continue offering assistance as more specific needs are identified.
Caritas Polska is collecting monetary donations through its website caritas.pl, mobile payment system BLIK (668 070 000), and traditional bank transfers.
Contributions are marked with the title "POWODZ," which means "flood."
In addition to funds, the organization is collecting essential supplies such as dehumidifiers, drinking water, generators, hygiene items, and long-lasting food supplies.
Caritas has also set up soup kitchens in the southwestern towns of Świdnica and Dzierżoniów to serve hot meals, prioritizing the homeless but open to all flood victims.
The organization’s Opole branch will start distributing meals to flood-hit areas, using kitchens in Racibórz and Nysa.
The Polish Red Cross (Polski Czerwony Krzyż) has started a special drive to provide food, clean water, hygiene products, and building dehumidifiers to those impacted by the floods.
Donations can be made online at pck.pl or through bank transfers and mobile payment platforms, including Zrzutka.pl.
Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he has contacted flood-affected municipalities, pledging to propose financial aid for Kłodzko and Nysa.
He said that immediate needs are a priority, with water, hygiene products, and non-perishable food being the most urgent items.
These can be delivered to the Filtry Water Treatment Plant in Warsaw, with district offices across the city also serving as collection points starting tomorrow.
The mayor of Kłodzko, Michał Piszko, has shared a bank account number where donations can be sent to support local flood victims. He urged the public to contribute to ongoing recovery efforts.
In addition, humanitarian groups from Zielona Góra and Opole are providing hot meals and beverages at a school in Głuchołazy for those evacuated from flood-stricken areas.
The nationwide fundraising platform siepomaga.pl has also started a campaign to gather financial aid for flood victims.
