As part of the crackdown, codenamed Operation Enola Gay, authorities arrested 75 individuals aged 16 to 78 on suspicion of pedophilia, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
This nationwide effort involved prosecutors from 69 regions, including major cities such as Warsaw, Gdańsk and Szczecin.
Coordinated by the Central Bureau for Combating Cybercrime (CBZC), the operation targeted child pornography networks, resulting in 31 individuals being placed in pretrial detention and 33 others subjected to measures such as police supervision and bail, reporters were told.
Authorities conducted 112 searches and seized 7,500 electronic devices, including laptops, mobile phones and external drives.
Prosecutors confirmed that the CBZC unit uncovered over 1 million child exploitation files, with one suspect alone possessing 430,000 illegal images and another 150,000 videos.
Those found guilty of producing, storing or distributing such material face up to 15 years in prison under Polish law.
