Authorities say the individuals involved will be charged with cruelty to animals and property damage.
On Saturday afternoon, officers received a report of property destruction at a self-service car wash.
Surveillance footage shows two people arriving in a horse-drawn carriage. One man then uses the car wash lance to spray water on the horse—including on its neck—prompting the animal to become agitated. In its distress, the horse rears up, damaging a partition wall between wash bays, and at one point collapses. The recording ends with the horse back on its feet while the carriage driver adjusts its harness.
Local police quickly identified the individuals involved. According to a statement, the suspects will face charges related to damaging property and animal cruelty. Meanwhile, a veterinarian examined the horse and found no injuries. Officers have secured the surveillance video as evidence.
The police have not released further details on the suspects’ identity. If convicted, those responsible could face penalties under Polish law for endangering the animal’s welfare and inflicting property damage.
