The billionaire and close ally of newly appointed U.S. President Donald Trump responded to accusations about his behavior during one of the events at Monday's ceremony in Washington by accusing his critics of using "dirty tricks."

In his opinion, the calling everyone Hitler approach has become overused and exhausting.

The tech mogul referenced his post from May 2022 on what was then Twitter (now X), when he announced he would vote for the Republican Party, despite having voted for Democrats in the past.

According to Musk, the Democrats had become “the party of division & hate.”

"Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold," Musk wrote back then.

The controversial gesture he made during his speech at the Capital One Arena sparked reactions from internet users worldwide.

Musk thanked Americans for enabling Donald Trump’s return to the White House, after which he twice struck his left chest with his right hand and extended his arm forward with an open palm.
