Polish team scored 181.5 points, beating runner-up Italy (179 points) and Britain (174 points) in third place.
During the tournament, held in the southern Polish city of Chorzów, Poles won in ten different events.
Pia Skrzyszkowska won the 100 metres flat and hurdles runs, while Kamila Lićwinko and Norbert Kobielski won the high jump women’s and men’s competitions.
Hammer thrower Paweł Fajdek threw 82.98 metres to win the event, setting a new European Athletics Team Championships record.
Polish women’s relay team Małgorzata Hołub-Kowalik, Kornelia Lesiewicz, Justyna Święty-Ersetic and Natalia Kaczmarek won the 4x400 metres event.
Pole vaulter Robert Sobera, hurdler Alicja Konieczek, shot putter Michał Haratyk, and runner Natalia Kaczmarek also won their events.
Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki congratulated the athletes in a Facebook post.
“Poles are the best athletes in Europe, defending their title in Chorzów,” he said.
