The 20-year-old Pole, who is defending her women's singles title in Paris, defeated Kontaveit 7-6, 6-0 in the third round on Saturday.
Świątek looked in trouble in the early part of the encounter, but battled her way back to claim her tenth match in a row without losing a set.
Świątek won last year's French Open to claim her maiden Grand Slam title, becoming the first Pole to lift a Grand Slam singles trophy.
Świątek is also playing in the women's doubles in Paris, where together with her partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States she has advanced to the final 16.
