“Crossing the channel was my third swimming challenge, allowing me to earn the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming," said Bednarek, who hails from the central Polish city of Łódź.
“Previously I crossed the Catalina Channel in 2018 and then I circumnavigated Manhattan Island in 2019,” she added.
