Wrestling: Bronze for Poland's Krawczyk in Oslo

Poland's Katarzyna Krawczyk has finished third in the women’s 53 kg freestyle at the World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, winning her country's second medal of the competition in Norway.

The 31-year-old claimed a podium spot after beating Ecuador's Luisa Elizabeth Valverde Melendres on Wednesday.

Canada's Samantha Stewart also earned a bronze medal after defeating Ukrainian Kristina Bereza, Poland's PAP news agency reported.

Japan's Akari Fujinami grabbed the gold, while Moldova's Iulia Leorda took the silver.

Krawczyk's bronze marked Poland's second medal at the championships, after Magomedmurad Gadzhiev took the gold in the men’s 70 kg freestyle a day earlier.
