Bartosz Zmarzlik, Maciej Janowski and Jakub Miśkowiak represented Poland in the finals of the event at the weekend.
The British team claimed gold, and Denmark won bronze in the world pairs championship.
The Polish team got off to a strong start on the first day of action in Manchester, gaining a comfortable lead over its rivals. Poland topped the standings on Saturday, with a total of 40 points, 10 points ahead of the Brits and 11 ahead of the Danes.
But in the final race on Sunday, Poland's Janowski crashed dramatically on the first lap. Countryman Zmarzlik won the race, but Britain’s Daniel Bewley and Robert Lambert, who came in second and third, snatched the victory for their team.
