The Poles, who are back on the world stage after an absence of 12 years, defeated Croatia 3-1 in their opening match of the tournament and followed up with a 3-0 win over Thailand and a 3-0 victory against South Korea.
The Polish team, managed by Italian coach Stefano Lavarini, then suffered two defeats in the second round of the tournament, losing 2-3 to Turkey and 0-3 to Serbia.
The Poles will take on Canada in their next game at the championships on Friday night, and then play Germany on Saturday.
The 2022 Volleyball Women’s World Championships, contested by 24 teams and held by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the world governing body for the sport, are being jointly hosted by Poland and the Netherlands until October 15.
