The 26-year-old Pole, ranked world No. 11 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), defeated Argentina's Francisco Cerúndolo 6-4, 6-3 in the round of 16 in the French capital on Thursday.
Up next for Hurkacz in Paris is Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov.
Hurkacz, who is coached by American Craig Boynton, is playing for his eighth career singles title in Paris, while also seeking to secure a berth in the season-ending ATP Finals later this month.
The Paris Masters indoor hard-court tournament runs until Sunday.
