The four-day tournament will feature more than 130 riders and 226 horses competing in show-jumping, driving, eventing and dressage events, public broadcaster TVP Sport reported.
Some of the show-jumping competitions will count towards the World Cup ranking, run by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (Fédération Équestre Internationale, FEI), according to the organisers.
Participants include Poland's leading equestrians as well as international stars, such as multiple world champion and double Olympic silver medalist Gerko Schroeder of the Netherlands, and Germany's Felix Hassman, who has won more than 100 FEI World Cup events, public broadcaster Polish Radio's IAR news agency reported.
The Cavaliada Warsaw tournament runs from Thursday to Sunday.
The 2023/2024 Cavaliada Tour will then go to other Polish cities. It will be held in the western city of Poznań from December 7 to 10 and the Baltic Sea resort of Sopot from February 1 to 4 before concluding in the southern city of Kraków on February 22-25.
The Cavaliada Tour is organised in media partnership with public broadcaster Polish Radio.
