The Siglany Centre in Wisła is poised to open its slopes to skiers and snowboarders on Thursday, thanks to substantial snowfall in recent days, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Meanwhile, the Beskid Sport Arena in Szczyrk will open its doors on Saturday, followed by the grand opening of Poland's largest ski centre, the Szczyrk Mountain Resort, on December 9.
The launch of the 2023/2024 ski season in Szczyrk has been brought forward due to significant recent snowfall in the Beskidy Mountains, according to officials.
Meanwhile, snow cannons are at work in ski centres throughout the region to ensure snow-covered slopes for the Christmas-New Year period, and the school winter break early next year, the PAP news agency reported.
