The announcement was made following a meeting by the FIFA Council in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday.
"Fantastic news from the FIFA Council meeting: Poland will be hosting the U-20 Women's World Cup in 2026," the secretary-general of the Polish Football Association (PZPN), Łukasz Wachowski, said in a post on the X social media platform.
Gianni Infantino, head of global football's governing body, said: "Poland is a country with a magnificent football tradition and hosted a memorable edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2019, in which emerging stars like Erling Haaland made a great impression."
He added, as quoted on FIFA's website: "Hosting the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup 2026 will be a new milestone in Poland’s football history and one that will boost women’s football in the country and across the world."
