Poland won their last-8 match at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, on Wednesday.

Świątek defeated China's Qinwen Zheng 6-2, 6-3, and No. 9-ranked Hubert Hurkacz beat Zhizhen Zhang 6-3, 6-4, to give Poland an unassailable 2-0 lead.

Katarzyna Piter and Jan Zieliński defeated You Xiaodi and Sun Fazing 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 in the mixed-doubles match, to complete a 3-0 win for Poland.

The Polish team progresses to the semifinals of the 2023/24 United Cup, where they will play France or Norway in Sydney on Saturday.

Last year, Poland reached the last four of the mixed-teams tournament, where they lost to the eventual champions the United States.

The 2023/24 United Cup runs until January 7, with the final due to be played at the Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney.
