It was a tough opponent, for sure. They played aggressively, as we expected - and their passing game was good as well. In all honesty, I cannot say we had full control over this match - I think that at times the opponents had more possession. However, I believe that looking at the number of clear goal scoring opportunities, we were probably a little better.

- Wisła's manager, Kazimierz Moskal, told Polish Radio after the game

The winning goals for the Polish historic club, currently competing in the country's 2nd tier, were scored by defensive midfielder Igor Sapała and Spanish striker Ángel Rodado, in the 2nd and 95th minute respectively.

This second goal for Wisła was very important in the context of the rematch. That is because in the previous editions of the European qualifying rounds Llapi usually failed to score away, but they were quite effective at home.

- a former Poland's international and Wisła striker, Maciej Żurawski, commented.

With 20.000 fans at the stadium, Wisła had the highest attendance among all UEFA Europa League qualifiers played in the first round.

The away rematch will be played on July 18th in Podujevë.
