Paris 2024: Poland’s Bajor advances to last 32 of Olympic table tennis

Poland's Natalia Bajor has advanced to the last 32 of the women's singles at the Olympic table tennis tournament in Paris, with a hard-fought win over Suthasini Sawettabut of Thailand.

The Pole prevailed 4-3 in their round-of-64 match on Monday, and will face Portugal's Yu Fu for a place in the last 16.

Meanwhile, Poland's Katarzyna Węgrzyn bowed out of the women's singles competition in Paris after losing her round-of-32 match to Sweden's Linda Bergstrom 1-4 on Monday.

On the men's side, Poland's Miłosz Redzimski beat Egyptian Mohamed El-Beiali 4-0 in the round of 64 on Sunday.

In the women's team competition, Poland is set to face Japan in the round of 16.

The Polish team is made up of Bajor, Węgrzyn and Zuzanna Wielgos.
