Kozakowska, who had initially won the women's F32 club throw event on Friday, faced disqualification for using equipment that did not meet regulation standards.
Despite her team’s appeal, the decision was upheld.
To make matters worse, she sustained a shoulder injury during the competition, forcing her to withdraw from the Games.
"In the second competitive throw, my shoulder simply gave out," Kozakowska said on Sunday, as cited by the Polish Paralympic Committee.
She added: "An MRI showed that all the ligaments holding the bone were torn and there was a significant amount of blood. So, unfortunately, this means the end of the Paralympics in Paris for me.
"I would have really liked to make up for everything in the shot put competition. But I know that even if I took all the available painkillers, all the blocks, and clenched my teeth as hard as ever, my hand would not be able to push that shot because it has neither the strength nor the feeling."
Despite the injury, Kozakowska was present at Stade de France on Sunday to support her fellow Polish athletes as they competed for medals, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
"I came to the stadium to support my teammates because, despite the tragedy of injury and the pain of disqualification, I want to give others strength and motivation," Kozakowska stated, according to the Polish Paralympic Committee.
"I deeply hope that what happened to me does not weaken them but motivates them even more to fight for medals," she said.
Reflecting on her ordeal, Kozakowska expressed her disappointment and determination: "What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. I feel even stronger and more motivated after all this. I definitely won't lose the fighting spirit in life or in sports! Let no one worry about that."
Kozakowska emphasized her commitment to fair play, expressing hurt over the possibility that fans might think she tried to cheat.
"I would never want a medal that was not honestly earned," she declared.
"I want to win by a fair fight, the harder and more effort-filled, the better," she added.
