The Polish team, managed by Serbian coach Nikola Grbić, returned to the final after 48 years but missed the chance to win their second gold, having previously claimed the title at the 1976 Montreal Games.

Danuta Isler had the opportunity to speak with coach Grbić during his surprise appearance at a game in Torwar last night and asked him about this missed opportunity and more.

"In my opinion, you win the silver when you win the semifinals. Then you lose the gold in the final. We were so close, but unfortunately, we didn’t make it. Also, while playing against the Americans, we had a few injured players but managed to come back and win. I think we did a great job in the semifinal - that’s when we won the Olympic medal," coach Grbić reflected on the medal and his team’s performance during the Summer Games.

Danuta Isler has the details.
