Herba, a native of Rzeszów in southeastern Poland, cycled up the tower’s 53 floors and 4,090 steps, conquering the 19th building in his career.

The feat makes him a six-time Guinness World Record holder, with 19 buildings conquered in 13 countries across four continents.

Krystian Herba from Rzeszów, a multiple Guinness World Record holder, attempted to break the world record for the most stairs climbed on a bicycle today at the top of the highest building in the European Union, 'Varso Tower' in Warsaw. He was striving to improve his current record of 3,581 stairs, which was set in 2019 in Berlin. Krystian Herba after completing his challenge in Warsaw last week. Photo: PAP/Leszek Szymański

"I love sports," Herba told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler ahead of his latest challenge.

He added: "Many years ago, I climbed the tallest building in Poland, the Palace of Culture in Warsaw—a legendary landmark. After that, I decided to climb other buildings, and a few years later, I broke my first Guinness World Record in China. Since then, I've cycled up buildings around the world, including in Australia and the United States. It's still so much fun, and that's why I keep doing it."
