World champions and Copa America winners Argentina remain at the top of the FIFA rankings, followed by World Cup runners-up and Euro 2024 semifinalists France.

European champions Spain are at No. 3, ahead of Euro 2024 runners-up England in fourth spot.

The Polish team played its last international fixture on October 15 when it drew 3-3 with Croatia at home in its fourth match of the 2024/2025 UEFA Nations League.

Poland, captained by star striker Robert Lewandowski, opened their Nations League campaign by defeating Scotland 3-2 in Glasgow last month. The Poles were then beaten 0-1 by Croatia in Osijek in their second game in Group 1 of the top League A, and lost 1-3 to Portugal at Warsaw's National Stadium on October 12.

After four rounds of fixtures, Poland are third in their Nations League Group A1, with four points.

Poland suffered an early exit from the Euro 2024 tournament, after losing its first two group-stage matches against the Netherlands and Austria and drawing 1-1 with France in its final game.

The European championships were held in Germany from June 14 to July 14.

Poland's lowest place in the world rankings was 78th, in 2013.
