The 21-year-old Polish basketball player (whose mother is Polish) suffered a fracture to the proximal phalanx in his left hand during the second quarter. He is scheduled for surgery later this week to address the injury.

Sochan left the game with 3:31 remaining, while the Spurs were leading 48-38, but ultimately lost 104-113.

In the 12 minutes he played, Sochan scored 4 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, had 1 steal, and 1 assist, and his team outscored the Clippers by 14 points during his time on the court.

This season, in his third year in the NBA, Sochan has been performing at a high level, averaging 15.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.

He will have surgery in San Antonio, and the Spurs will face the Houston Rockets in their next game.
