In a recent interview with Polish Radio, Kawa discussed the ideal conditions in Antarctica that make it possible to break flying records. "The longest glider flight is three thousand eight hundred kilometers," said the Polish pilot. "In one segment, a straight-line distance of two thousand two hundred and fifty kilometers was flown over Argentina. These are incredible possibilities. If we want to set a new world record, it has to be done during the day. At the Marambio base, located near the coast of the Antarctic Peninsula and managed by the Argentine Air Force, daylight lasts continuously from November 15 to January 15. We are eager to take advantage of these conditions," the pilot emphasized.

The flight requires the approval of the Argentine military and authorities. Sebastian Kawa has already had his first talk at the Argentine embassy. " I am looking forward to receiving positive feedback on our plan. Of course, we have also had some contacts with the military," the pilot noted.

Sebastian Kawa has been flying gliders since 1988, continuing his father's passion for aviation.
