With this victory, the Polish team also secured the overall World Cup title for the season, with one competition remaining, state news agency PAP reported.
Earlier in the day, Poland's Wójcik placed third in the women's 500m individual event, while fellow Pole Piotr Michalski finished third in the men's 500m.
Earlier in the weekend, Ziomek-Nogal also claimed bronze in the women’s 500m, in front of a cheering home crowd at the Tomaszów Mazowiecki Ice Arena in central Poland.
PB for former Russian champ racing for Poland
Meanwhile, Vladimir Semirunniy, a former Russian speed skating champion who switched his international allegiance and debuted for the Polish national team last month, is achieving increasingly strong results, the PAP news agency reported.
Semirunniy, who fled to Poland in 2023 and condemned Russia's war in Ukraine, won Group B in the men's 5000m, posting one of the fastest times in the venue's history.
He set a new personal best of 6:17.90, nearly 7 seconds faster than his previous record, according to Konrad Niedźwiedzki, sports director of the Polish Speed Skating Association.
More than 250 speed skaters from 25 countries competed at the penultimate World Cup stop in Poland over the weekend.
Next weekend, top international speed skaters will flock to Heerenveen in the Netherlands for the final World Cup event of the season.
