This year, the "Dubai doughnut" has become a hit in Poland, featuring a rich combination of pistachios and chocolate.
These indulgent treats contain between 600 and 1000 calories, while the typical pączek (Polish doughnut) has around 350 calories.
As highlighted by local station Radio Wrocław, experts from the Academy of Physical Education (AWF) suggest burning off these calories with activities like:
- 700 squats,
- 30 minutes of running,
- or 40 minutes of swimming.
Pączki remain a beloved tradition during Poland's annual Fat Thursday celebrations, symbolizing indulgence before Lent.
As tradition goes, long lines form outside the most popular bakeries on this day, with locals eagerly waiting to buy pączki, as clearly seen in the photo below.
