Wielgosz triumphed with a time of 2:02.09. Silver went to France's Clara Liberman (2:02.32), and bronze to Slovenia's Anita Horvat (2:02.52).
"I am very proud of myself. I feel reborn" - the Polish athlete said after the run.
All in all, the Polish champion won three 800m races in Apeldoorn - she was the best in Friday's eliminations and in Saturday's semi-final.
"It is very difficult to stay focused for three days in a row. In the previous races I showed my rivals that I am strong and that they should fear me. I think that helped too. I wish everyone such a moment. All of this is amazing" - Wielgosz emphasized.
After Wielgosz's victory, Poland's total medal tally at the event in Apeldoorn, which concludes on Sunday night, is 2 golds, 1 silver and 1 bronze.
