Poland finishes fourth in World Cup ski jumping team event in Planica

The event was dominated by Austria, who took the win, followed by Germany in second and the home team, Slovenia, in third.

In a strong showing at the World Cup ski jumping team event in Planica, Slovenia, the Polish team, consisting of Piotr Żyła, Aleksander Zniszczoł, Kamil Stoch, and Dawid Kubacki, secured fourth place.

FIS Ski Jumping World Cup Finals Planica 2025: Poland finishes just off the podium

The Polish team had their best result of the season, scoring a total of 1680.6 points. Żyła jumped 231m and 218m, Zniszczoł jumped 204m and 226m, Stoch recorded jumps of 214m and 220.5m, and Kubacki reached 217m and 222m.

Despite strong performances, the team was unable to secure a podium spot, falling just short of the Slovenian team. Austria, with a total of 1749.3 points, triumphed in the event for the third consecutive time in Planica.

In a touching moment, Germany's Karl Geiger, who is retiring, was celebrated by his teammates after his final jump.
