Polish player in WTA Bogota tennis quarterfinals - match time and details

Poland's Katarzyna Kawa, currently ranked 223rd in the WTA rankings, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the WTA 250 tournament in Bogotá after a hard-fought three-set victory over Brazil's Laura Pigossi. The Polish tennis player will now face the tournament's top seed, Czech Marie Bouzková, in Friday's match.

The 32-year-old player from Krynica-Zdrój in southern Poland secured her spot in the quarterfinals after defeating Pigossi 1-6, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. The match lasted nearly three hours, with Kawa saving a match point in the second set.

Kawa has now played her fourth match in Bogotá (the capital of Colombia in South America) having won two qualifying rounds and her first-round match against local player Valentina Mediorreal Arias.

In the quarterfinals, Kawa will face Bouzková, ranked 51st in the WTA standings, who is also her doubles partner in Bogotá.

The match is scheduled for Friday, April 4, as the third match of the day on the central court, starting around 10:30 p.m. Polish time.

The Polish and Czech players will take the court for the third scheduled match in the quarterfinals. All tennis matches will begin starting around 7:00 p.m. Polish time, according to the "Z kortu - tennis news" profile on X (formerly Twitter).
