Last week, representatives from the Polish Olympic Committee's Professional Commission and Fair Play Council gathered at the Presidential Palace to discuss proposed amendments to the Sports Law, which had been submitted to the Constitutional Tribunal in December.

Among those present were Fair Play Council Chair Hanna Wawrowska, Professional Commission Chair Agnieszka Kobus-Zawojska, Olympic Commission member and mountain biker Maja Włoszczowska, ski jumper Adam Małysz, as well as Deputy Head of the Chancellery Piotr Ćwik and Presidential Advisor Piotr Nowacki.

"The Polish Olympic Committee's Athlete Commission is actively working and demonstrating that the voices of athletes matter. It's time for sports federations to recognize this and, regardless of the outcome of the legislation, begin including athletes in their management boards," wrote Maja Włoszczowska on X (formerly Twitter) after the meeting on the proposed amendments to the Sports Law, which has yet to be implemented in Poland.
