The game will be played at the National Stadium in Warsaw on May 2 at 4 p.m.

Legia will be seeking their 21st Polish Cup title, while Pogoń will be looking to win their maiden trophy after previously losing in the final four times.

Legia secured their spot in the final with a 5–0 win over Ruch Chorzów on April 2. Pogoń advanced after a 3–0 victory against Puszcza Niepołomice a day earlier.

But before football fans in the country turn their attention to the Polish Cup, Legia are set to face Chelsea away in the UEFA Conference League quarterfinals on Thursday.

The Warsaw team lost 0-3 at home in the first leg on April 10. Should they overturn the deficit in London and advance to the semifinals, the Polish Cup final will be rescheduled.

In domestic league play, Legia currently sit fifth in the Ekstraklasa standings, trailing leaders Raków Częstochowa by 15 points and sitting three points behind fourth-place Pogoń.

The Polish Cup winner will later this year face the Ekstraklasa champions in the Polish Super Cup, the traditional curtain-raiser to the new football season.

Earlier this month, reigning Polish champions Jagiellonia Białystok defeated second-tier Wisła Kraków 1–0 to win the 2023/2024 Polish Super Cup.

The match, originally scheduled for July last year, was postponed multiple times due to both clubs' involvement in European competitions and was eventually played on April 2.

The game at the National Stadium in Warsaw marked the second time Jagiellonia have won the national Super Cup title.

Jagiellonia in May last year claimed their first-ever Ekstraklasa championship, while Wisła beat Pogoń 2–1 to lift the Polish Cup.

Jagiellonia will host Spain’s Real Betis on Thursday in the second leg of their Conference League quarterfinal.

The Polish side trail 0-2 after the first leg in Seville on April 10.
