Women's handball: Poland beat Tunisia in second world championship win

Poland defeated Tunisia 29-26 in their second match at the 2025 World Women's Handball Championship to secure a spot in the main round of the tournament.

The two teams battled head-to-head for most of the game in the Dutch city of 's-Hertogenbosch on Sunday, but Poland ultimately emerged victorious, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

Poland beat China 36-20 in their opening match of the championship on Friday.

The Polish team, coached by Norwegian Arne Senstad, will face defending champions France in their final group-stage match in 's-Hertogenbosch on Tuesday.

Thirty-two teams are vying for supremacy in the 2025 World Women’s Handball Championship.

The tournament, co-hosted by the Netherlands and Germany, runs until December 14.
