The Polish champion will enter the Champions League in the fourth qualifying round and, if eliminated, will drop into the Europa League league-phase.

"For the first time, we have a guarantee that two Polish teams will play in the league phase of European competitions," said Marcin Stefański, chief operating officer of Ekstraklasa SA, the company that runs Poland's top division.
The top-flight runner-up will enter the Champions League in the second qualifying round, while the third-place team will begin in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.
The fourth-place team will enter the Conference League in the second qualifying round.
If the top-flight runner-up also wins the Polish Cup, it will enter the Champions League qualifying rounds.
In that case, the team finishing third in the Ekstraklasa will take the Cup winner's place in the Europa League, beginning in the fourth qualifying round, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
This season, two Polish clubs, Lech Poznań and Jagiellonia Białystok, reached the Europa League league-phase after winning through the qualifying rounds.
Jagiellonia eliminated Georgia's Iberia Tbilisi, while Lech defeated Switzerland's FC Thun in the decisive fourth qualifying round.
Lech, which won the Polish Ekstraklasa title last season, entered the Europa League qualifying playoffs after being eliminated from Champions League qualifying.
In the second qualifying round of the Champions League, Lech beat Danish club Aarhus GF 4-1 at home but was eliminated on penalties in the return leg.
Two other Polish clubs were eliminated in the fourth qualifying round of the Conference League this summer.
Górnik Zabrze, which had dropped into the Conference League after being eliminated from Champions League qualifying, was knocked out by AS Monaco, while Raków Częstochowa was eliminated by Hajduk Split.
Meanwhile, a fifth Polish club, GKS Katowice, was eliminated by Hapoel Tel Aviv in the Conference League playoff round, missing out on a place in the competition's league phase for the 2026/2027 season.
The Champions League, Europa League and Conference League are all run by European soccer's governing body UEFA.
