Poland claims gold, bronze at grappling worlds in Kraków

Poland won gold and bronze at the ADCC 2026 World Championship in the southern city of Kraków over the weekend, as the premier international submission grappling tournament was held in the country for the first time.

The event drew 12,000 spectators, with Polish athletes Paweł Jaworski and Mateusz Szczeciński winning medals.

Jaworski took gold in the 88 kg division, while Szczeciński won bronze in the 77 kg category.

High-profile Polish MMA fighters Jakub Wikłacz and Mateusz Gamrot, however, were eliminated in the opening round.
