Only past German icons Gerd Müller, with 365 goals, Klaus Fischer, with 268, and Jupp Heynckes, with 220, have netted more in the league's 57-year history, according to the bundesliga.com website.
The Polish goal machine has found the net at least once in all seven of Bayern's league outings so far in the 2019/2020 season.
The Pole at the end of last month became the first player in Bundesliga history to reach double figures after six matches with his strike in Bayern Munich's 3-2 win against Paderborn.
The 31-year-old Pole was in May crowned the top scorer of the Bundesliga premier league in the 2018/2019 season, his fourth such trophy since he began playing in Germany in 2010.
Meanwhile, the prolific Polish striker has scored 56 goals in 82 Champions League appearances to date.
He last Tuesday joined the list of the Champions League's top five marksmen when Bayern routed English Premier League outfit Tottenham Hotspur 7-2.
Lewandowski struck twice that day to equal Ruud van Nistelrooy of the Netherlands as the Champions League's fifth-best all-time goal scorer.
