The Poles overpowered Iran 3-0 in the Japanese city of Hiroshima on Tuesday, ending the tournament on a high note.
Poland, managed by Belgian coach Vital Heynen, won nine of their 11 games, losing only to the United States, who finished third in the competition, and Brazil, who won the tournament.
The Poles, one of the world's strongest teams, won the bronze in the European Volleyball Championships in Paris last month and have secured a spot in next year’s Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
