Over 1,400 competitors from 120 countries are expected to take part in the event, which celebrates the sporting talent of disabled track-and-field athletes from across the world.

Poland won 28 medals and finished 12th in the overall medal standings at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London.

Last year, Team Poland returned with a haul of medals from the Para Athletics European Championships in Berlin.

Radio Poland’s Danuta Isler talked to the spokesperson for the Polish Paralympic Committee, Paulina Malinowska-Kowalczyk, to find out more about the event in Dubai.
