The event will be held in Gdańsk, on Poland’s Baltic coast, from January 15 to 17, according to the Polish Speed Skating Association (PZŁS), the national governing body for the sport.
Poland previously hosted the event in 2006 when Europe’s top short-track speed skaters competed for medals in its southern mountain resort of Krynica-Zdrój.
Poland’s Natalia Maliszewska in January this year took the bronze in the women’s 500 metres at the 2020 European Short Track Speed Skating Championships in Debrecen, Hungary.
In January 2019, the Pole won the gold in the same event at the Europeans in the Dutch city of Dordrecht.
