On Saturday, Iga Świątek and Łukasz Kubot beat Australia's mixed doubles pair Astra Sharm and John-Patrick Smith 5:7, 7:6 (8-6), 10-6 after a match that lasted near on two hours.

Earlier, Łukasz Kubot partnered by Wesley Koolhof of the Netherlands advanced to the second round of the men's doubles competition in Melbourne.
