The event was won by Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi, while Poles Dawid Kubacki and Piotr Żyła finished fourth and fifth.

The competition was marked by a surprising twist which caused the final podium line-up to be reshuffled.

Norway’s Halvor Egner Granerud was announced the winner after a jump that saw him soaring 96.5 metres. He started celebrating, only to be told he was disqualified for a suit that did not meet the rules.

Stoch will lead the Polish ski-jumping contingent at the 2021 Nordic World Ski Championships, which are due to begin in Germany next week.
